Meet the founder

Petal&Post is owned and run by Kim Steyn, an urban planner who discovered her passion for floristry while living in Australia for 2 years. She now lives in beautiful Cape Town, where she launched the concept store in 2016. In 2020 she opened the Johannesburg and Durban branches, followed shortly thereafter by Pretoria, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and the KZN Midlands. Kim’s ambition is to grow Petal&Post into South Africa’s largest flower delivery and gifting service while maintaining its signature customer care and farm fresh quality. 

A note from Kim: “I learn something new every day at Petal&Post. We have a dynamic culture of learning and growing within the tech space together, which is very exciting. The culture of our team is based on kindness and support; and this translates to you, the customer. Our motto is Send Love because we try to bridge the gap between loved ones who can’t be there in person to give a gift themselves. We are the gift-bearer and we take this responsibility seriously, delivering high quality flowers and products with care and smiles, on time.
